CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(WHISTON CRESCENT, CLIFTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Whiston Crescent, Clifton outside number 19.
This temporary closure is required to enable customer supply pipe repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 24 September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Stockbridge Rd, Brickle Place and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 22 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Sandy between the A1 and High St.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 23 September 2026 between the hours of 0900-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period. Each closure will be done separately.
The alternative route for this closure will be via A1, Georgetown Rd, Girtford underpass, Sunderland Rd, A1, St Neots Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 21 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Church Street, Tempsford.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 25 September between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure – access for residents will be maintained.
The Order will come into operation on 24 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ash Road, Biggleswade between number 74 and jct with Wilsheres Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable gas mains replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7 September to 12 October 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Beech Avenue, Wilsheres Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 7 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Brook End, Potton outside number 16.
This temporary closure is required to enable VXO construction works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 9 September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route will be via Market Square, B1040 , B1042, Brook End and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 7 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Everton Road, Tempsford and Everton Hill, Everton 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
This temporary closure is required to enable level crossing maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 0215hrs to 0555hrs on 6 September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Tempsford Road, Sandy Road, Everton Road, Swaden, High Street, Bedford Road, Great North Road, Blunham Lane, C54 from Blunham Lane to Station Road, Church Street and Everton Road.
The Order will come into operation on 6 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
