SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Greater Lane (Part), Edington; from its property known as No.15 Greater Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via Greater Lane (unaffected length) – B3098 – C49 – Greater Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. Diversion route for lights and vehicles over 7.5t. Diversion route to be symbolised hollow for clockwise diversion and for anti clockwise diversion. Alternative route clockwise light vehicles under 7.5t via B3095 (unaffected length) – A350 – B3089 – A303 – B3095 (unaffected length). Alternative route anti clockwise light vehicles under 7.5t via B3095 (unaffected length) – A303 – A350 – B3095 (unaffected length). I) C270 (Part), Horningham, Longbridge Deverill and Corsley; from its junction with Gentle Street to its junction with Longcombe Drive to enable air display event at Longleat Safari Park, closure of Heavens Gate access and road from 13:00 to 21:00 for ensuring public safety. Alternative route via C270 (unaffected length) – A362 – A36 – A350 – C54 – C281 – C270 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 13:00 and 21:00 until 13 September 2026. J) B3107 (Part), Holt; from its junction with Gipsy Lane to its junction with Stillman Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3107 (unaffected length) – A350 – A361 – B3105 – B3107 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 September 2026 and the closure will be required weekday nights only between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 16 September 2026. Orders A) to J) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.70) 2026 (Ref TTRO: 11764)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be up for 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 28 September 2026 and 31 January 2027.

No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 30 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. Order A) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 116 APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make applications to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Wilton Road, Salisbury on Tuesday 13 October 2026 from 2pm for Orders stopping-up sections of highway on the ground that they are unnecessary for public use. The applications relate to highway adjacent to (1) ‘Tower View’, 8B High Street, Steeple Ashton (2) 165 Littleworth Lane, Whitley. Plans showing the effect of the applications will be posted on the respective sites and copies may be obtained from – and any queries directed to – Mr. Gale of Legal Services on tel. (01225) 718023.
