What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Upper Yardley Road between its junction with Yardley Road and its junction with Bursledon Road. Pretoria Road between its junction with Bursledon Road and its junction with B3033 Saint John’s Road.  
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Bursledon Road, B3033 Saint John’s Road, Freegrounds Avenue, Yardley Road. B3033 Saint John’s Road, Bursledon Road.  
DURATION OF ORDER: from Wednesday 23rd September 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 17 days and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).  
The Temporary Road Closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for FPF Utilities to complete gas mains replacement. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: ashleyedwards@fpfutilities.com.
