TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – WESTERN ESPLANADE, HOVE
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 2 September 2026 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect: -
(a) The temporary closure of the cycle lane on Western Esplanade, Hove from the western edge of the King Alfred Leisure Centre building to the junction of Hove Street, a distance of approximately 200 metres.
(b) For the duration of this closure it will be necessary to make the adjacent footway a shared space for pedestrians and cycles.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out the Installation of a new electricity supply.
3. This Order comes into force on 7 September 2026 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 14 October 2026.
