What is happening?

(GATESHEAD INTERNATIONAL STADIUM AREA, FELLING)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibitions to vehicles as set out in the Schedule below. The Order is required to control parking and maintain road safety during Events at Gateshead International Stadium.
It is proposed that the Order will come into force on the 25 September 2026. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months, however the prohibitions will only be in place for two events taking place on the 25 and 26 September 2026 and the 30 and 31 October 2026 between the hours of 20:00 and 23:59.
During the prohibition all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the event and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be subject to the prohibitions as set out below to such extent as may be indicated by the display of traffic signs.
During the prohibitions there will be a signed diversion in place.
