THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HOLME PIERREPONT BYWAY NO.12, GATED SECTION)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horse to proceed and
(d) cause any animal to proceed,
(e) cause any vehicle to proceed,in the following length of byway at Holme Pierrepont in the Borough of Rushcliffe :-
Holme Pierrepont Byway No.12, the gated section between Sandy Lane and Holme Pierrepont Hall drive.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:- On Friday 18th September 2026 only.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route available suitable for all users.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the byway . It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable works to improve the surface of the gated section of byway.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 8TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2026.
