The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th September 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2405258 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.An alternative route is available via Southend Road, Outwood Common Road, Outwood Farm Road and vice versa.

that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Tye Common Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Wiggins Lane for a distance of approximately 495m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Wiggins Lane, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon from its junction with First Avenue to its junction with Tye Common Road a distance of approximately 95m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 1st October 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311012WGQP5G0B/BC311013WGQP5G0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Tye Common Road, Clock House Road, Laindon Common Road, A176, A129, Tye Common Road and vice versa (with Frithwood Road, First Avenue for Wiggins Lane).

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.6) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Castle Point, as specified in schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
