Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bardfield Road, Thaxted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 2790m south west of its junction with Little Bardfield Road for a distance of approximately 675m in a south westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WH3DV28L – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Bardfield Road, Bardfield End Green, Thaxted Road, Bardfield End Green Road, Sampford Hall Lane, Hawksbury Green Road, Little Sampford Road, Little Bardfield Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Uttlesford, as detailed in the Schedule.
The works are scheduled to commence after 10th September 2026, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main upgrade works are undertaken by Cadent.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th September 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WH2FKN3F01L2CSB/ BC008WH2FKN3F02L2CSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sampford Hall Lane, Little Sampford in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 50m north west of its junction with Bardfield End Green Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGNTVK2R – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Sampford Hall Lane, B1051, B184 Bardfield Road, Bardfield End Green, Thaxted Road, Bardfield End Green Road and vice versa.
