(Balcombe: Public Footpath 10-1Ba)

 (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 10-1Ba in Balcombe from its junction with Haywards Heath Road, westwards to its junction with London Road (B2036).

The closure of this route is needed to safely allow maintenance works to be carried out on an adjacent railway embankment. The Order will come into effect on 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 28 February 2027. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Worth: Turners Hill Road and Wallage Lane)

(Temporary Closure Night-time) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact temporary night-time road closures on Turners Hill

Road in Worth from Hazelhurst Drive to a point 70m east of Wallage Lane. The Order also closes Wallage Lane, from Turners Hill Road, northwards for 100m.

The road closure is needed to allow highway improvement works to be carried out.

The Order will come into effect on 15 September 2026 and remain in force until 23 September 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order the affected lengths of road will be closed overnight from 2000 to 0600. Turners Hill Road will be closed in short sections as works progress along the road. Alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site and access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Copthorne: Calluna Drive)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Calluna Drive in Copthorne from a point 90m northeast of Erica Way, northwards for 20m. The road closure is needed to maintain safety while maintenance to electricity cables is carried out.

The Order will come into effect on 14 September 2026 and remain in force until 19 September 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order it is intended to close Calluna drive from 0800 to 1800 each day, during which time alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
