TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (PITT STREET and DUKES LANE) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they have made a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Dukes Lane to be closed from the side of number 18 Pitt Street to the junction of the Kensington Church Street.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 27th September 2026 until 18.00hrs on Sunday 31st September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Diverted through traffic may use Pitt Street Gordon Place, Campden Grove, Kensington Church Street, Dukes Lane.
The One-way working of Pitt Street and Dukes Lane is to
be suspended for the duration of the road closure.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
