THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
LEADS ROAD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Leads Road, junction with Sutton Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during interim to permanent reinstatement works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect on 21st September 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7pm on 21st September 2026 and 6am on 22nd September 2026.

BRIDLINGTON AVENUE AND CANNON STREET

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Bridlington Avenue or Cannon Street at the junction outside East Street Riding Hotel, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during gas main works:
Dates: 21/09/2026 to 28/09/2026

Northern Gas to lay a new gas main across Bridlington Avenue, construct concrete protection and reinstate carriageway.

(Bridlington Avenue will be closed between 21/09/2026 to 02/10/2026).

Dates: 28/09/2026 to 02/10/2026

Planning and resurfacing of Bridlington Avenue and Cannon Street to be completed by the appointed Contractor.

(Cannon Street will be closed between 28/09/2026 to 02/10/2026).
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTION IN STREETS
HULL FAIR 2026, KINGSTON UPON HULL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 intends to make an Order for the purpose of preventing obstructions in the length of streets in the City of Kingston upon Hull hereinafter mentioned on the occasion of Hull Fair 2026, commencing on 1st October 2026 until 18th October 2026.

The Order:-
(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait in or on that length of:-

Lowther Street, from its junction with Walton Street from 6am on 6th October 2026 to 3pm on 18th October 2026;

Walliker Street, the full length, from 6am on 6th October 2026 to 3pm on 18th October 2026;

Walton Street (to include lane restrictions on Spring Bank West), from 6am on 6th October 2026 to 3pm on 18th October 2026;

Anlaby Road (lane restriction), from 6am on 6th October 2026 to 3pm on 18th October 2026;

West Park Internal Roads (access to the Stadium car park will be maintained under the Anlaby Road Flyover), from 6am on 6th October 2026 to 3pm on 18th October 2026;

Pulman Street, from 3pm to 11pm on 9th October 2026, 2pm to 11pm on 10th October 2026, 4pm to 11pm, daily between 10th October 2026 and 15th October 2026, 3pm to 11pm on 16th October 2026, and 2pm to 11pm on 17th October 2026;

Granville Street and Sandringham Street (closure will be put in place in exceptional circumstances ONLY), from 4pm on 9th October 2026 to 11pm on 17th October 2026.

Access is prohibited to vehicles exceeding 6ft 6inches/2m in width, between 8am on 1st October 2026 and 3pm on 18th October 2026.

Additional parking restrictions:-
PARKING PERMIT HOLDERS ‘1’ ONLY – MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 6PM TO MIDNIGHT AND SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND BANK HOLIDAYS, 12PM TO MIDNIGHT.
RESTRICTED DAYS/HOURS: ALL DAYS/ALL TIMES

This is in addition to the no parking restrictions that are in place.

PARKING PERMIT HOLDERS ‘2’ ONLY – MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 6PM TO MIDNIGHT AND SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND BANK HOLIDAYS, 12PM TO MIDNIGHT.

RESTRICTED DAYS/HOURS: ALL DAYS/ALL TIMES

This is in addition to the no parking restrictions that are in place.

(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a vehicle to wait on or in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to obey the directions of the said police constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and

(c) requires all persons present in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to comply with the directions of any police constable in uniform.

The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Hull Fair 2026.

The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.

The penalty for an infringement of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds.

A copy of the said Order is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Reception Office at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull.

CHANTERLANDS AVENUE
(REVOCATION OF WAITING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the 28th August 2026 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 22nd September 2026.

The effect of the Order will be to revoke the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for Chanterlands Avenue for the No Waiting Restriction with timings 8am to 9.30am, Monday to Friday shown as a Single Yellow Line.

The purpose of the Order is to increase parking availability for residents while removing the need for them to move their vehicles between the restriction times.

DERRINGHAM WARD, WHOLE
(PROHIBITION OF VERGE PARKING AND WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The purpose of the Order is to introduce a new Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) throughout Derringham Ward to prohibit all vehicles parking and waiting on verges and footways. This is to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other footway users throughout the ward. In addition, it is proposed to introduce a No Waiting At Any Time restriction on Grantchester Close to complement the footway and verge parking prohibition, to ensure the free flow of traffic.

It is also proposed to introduce a No Waiting At Any Time restriction on Priory Road and St Frances Court to provide junction protection and ensure visibility is maintained
