What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS, TONBRIDGE & MALLING AND SEVENOAKS AREAS
Various Roads, Tonbridge and Malling, Tunbridge Wells & Sevenoaks (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow the Tonbridge Half Marathon 2026 to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of various roads in and around Tonbridge and Malling, Tunbridge Wells & Sevenoaks, on or after 4th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the event has been completed.
Closures are between the hours of 08:30 and 12:30, with the roads re-opened as soon as it is safe to do so. There will be rolling road closures in place around the route as the race progresses. The following roads will be closed to the extent indicated:
Brook Street, Tonbridge - West Kent College to Upper Haysden Lane.
Upper Haysden Lane, Tonbridge & Bidborough, Tunbridge Wells - Entire length except between the two Molescroft Way junctions.
Molescroft Way, Tonbridge - Entire Length. (Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so).
Haysden Lane, Bidborough, Tunbridge Wells - Upper Hayesden Lane to Ensfield Road.
Ensfield Road, Bidborough, Tunbridge Wells & Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
Lower Green, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
B2027 High Street, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
B2027 Hildenborough Road, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
B2027 Stocks Green Road, Tonbridge - B2027 Hildenborough Road to Rings Hill.
Rings Hill, Hildenborough, Tonbridge - B2027 Stocks Green Road to Lower Street.
Lower Street, Hildenborough, Tonbridge - Entire length.
Philpots Lane, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Lower Street to Coppings Road.
Coppings Road, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
Compasses Hill, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
B2027 Tonbridge Road, Leigh, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
B2027 Penshurst Road, Sevenoaks - Entire length.
Lower Haysden Lane, Bidborough, Tunbridge Wells & Tonbridge - Entire Length.
The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:
Tonbridge Diversion 1 - A26 Quarry Hill Road, A26 London Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Rogues Hill, B2176 High Street, B2176 Penhurst Road, B2176 Station Hill, B2176 Moorden Lane, B2027 Tonbridge Road and vice versa
Tonbridge Diversion 2 – A26 Quarry Hill Road, B2260 Quarry Hill Road, B2260 Railway Approach, B2260 High Street, A227 High Street, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, B245 London Road, Weald Interchange, Morleys Road and vice versa
Leigh Diversion – Powder Mill Lane, Leigh Road, B2027 Leigh Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, Watts Cross Road, Rings Hill and vice versa.
