THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(PARKING CHARGES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that St. Helens Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1), (2) and (3), 3(2) and 4(2), 32, 35(1), 45 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order, the effect of which will be to revoke The Council of the Borough of St Helens (Parking Charges) Order 2025.

A copy of the Order may be requested from the Council by emailing traffic@sthelens.gov.uk or by writing to the Traffic Section, Town Hall, Victoria Square, St Helens WA10 1HP.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed changes, must do so in writing to the undersigned, stating the grounds of objection, within a period of 21 days from the date of this notice.
