What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
B2063 Risborough Lane, Folkestone, CT20 3PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2063 Risborough Lane, Folkestone, on or after 29th September 2026 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Risborough Way, Shorncliffe Road, B2064 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, B2054 Cheriton Road, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2063 Risborough Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bridge Street & Canterbury Road, Folkestone (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of Bridge Street & Canterbury Road, Folkestone, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Parking will be prohibited on part of Canterbury Road. The restriction will be imposed between the junctions of Sidney Street and Bridge Street and from outside number 59 to opposite the junction of Denmark Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Gammons Farm Lane, Newchurch (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gammons Farm Lane, Newchurch, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chapel Lane and From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gammons Farm Lane, Chapel Lane, Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch Town Boundary To Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Newington Road, Peene, CT18 8FG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Newington Road, Peene, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 5m either side of the Historic Railways Estate Structure, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Newington Road, Hill Lane, Lane From Parsonage Farmhouse To Junction With Hill Lane And Danton Lane, Lane From Junction Teddars Leas Road To Junction Upper Arpinge, Teddars Leas Road, Canterbury Road, Coombe Farm, Beachborough, A20 Ashford Road, The Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Oxenden Road, Folkestone, CT20 3BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow electrical works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oxenden Road, Folkestone, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oxenden Road, Enbrook Road, B2063 Military Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Pleydell Gardens, Folkestone, CT20 9EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pleydell Gardens, Folkestone, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the rear of 119 and 121. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cheriton Place, Sandgate Road, Shakespeare Terrace and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
