Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

A256 Whitfield Bypass, Whitfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Whitfield Bypass, Whitfield, on or after 1st October 2026 until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 400m North of the roundabout with Richmond Way, between the hours of 21:00 and 02:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road, A258 Deal Road, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout and A256 Whitfield Bypass.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A258 Deal Road, A258 Dover Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Queen Street, A258 London Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road and A256 Whitfield Bypass.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Archers Court Road, Whitfield. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Archers Court Road, Whitfield, on or after 1st October 2026 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Church Whitfield Road for approximately 100m in a Southerly direction, between the hours of 21:00 and 02:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Archers Court Road, Sandwich Road, Waldershare Road, Chapel Lane, Roman Road, Abbey Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Chalkpit Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chalkpit Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Little Britten, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chalkpit Lane, Barnsole Road, Fleming Road, Drainless Road, Hammill Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Cranleigh Drive, Whitfield, CT16 3FG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cranleigh Drive, Whitfield, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Alison Crescent for approximately 145m in a Northeasterly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cranleigh Drive, Archers Court Road, Sandwich Road, Mayfield Road, Alison Crescent and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Delf Street, Sandwich, CT13 9EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Delf Street, Sandwich, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 41, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street St Mary, Strand Street, Bowling Street, Delf Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Holness Road, Ash, CT3 2JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holness Road, Ash, on or after 15th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 5, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holness Road, Chequer Lane, The Street, Molland Lane, School Road, Molland Lea and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Honeywood Parkway, Whitfield, CT16 3FJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Honeywood Parkway, Whitfield, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the roundabout with Tesco to the entrance of B&Q, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Honeywood Parkway, Honeywood Road, A2 Dover Road, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, A256 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout, A256 Link Between Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout and Honeywood Parkway.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Honeywood Parkway, A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 Dover Road, Honeywood Road and Honeywood Parkway.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Jubilee Road, Worth, CT14 0DW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Jubilee Road, Worth, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Jubilee Road, The Street, A258 Deal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Molland Lane, Ash, CT3 2JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Molland Lane, Ash, on or after 16th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Mongeham Road, Great Mongeham, CT14 9LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mongeham Road, Great Mongeham, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Elder Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mongeham Road, Northbourne Road, Willow Road, Beacon Hill, Sutton Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Northwall Road, Deal, CT14 6PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northwall Road, Deal, on or after 29th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 78, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Padbrook Lane, Elmstone, CT3 1HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Padbrook Lane, Elmstone, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Littlewick Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Padbrook Lane, Elmstone, Sheerwater Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



School Road, Tilmanstone, CT14 0JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Road, Tilmanstone, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 80m North of Dane Court Lodge, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Road, Pike Road, Barville Road, Dover Road, Lower Street, St Marys Grove, Upper Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



The Street, Northbourne, CT14 0LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Northbourne, on or after 15th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Vine Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Northbourne Road, Willow Road, Deal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
