Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF ASHFORD)

(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (double yellow lines (DYLs) “no waiting at any time”) on the following lengths of road in Sevington, Ashford:-

CHURCH ROAD – (1) On the south side from its junction with Kingfisher Close for a distance of 100 metres in an easterly then westerly direction. (2) On the north side from its junction with Kingfisher Close for a distance of 9 metres in a westerly direction. KINGFISHER CLOSE – (1) On the west side from its junction with Church Road for a distance of 9 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Church Road for a distance of 4 metres in a northerly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time on the following roads in Thannington, Canterbury:-

COCKERING ROAD – On its northwest side from a point 13 metres north east of its junction with Manor Close to extend the existing restrictions for a distance of 17 metres in a north easterly direction.

(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025

(AMENDMENT No.12) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to change a 30MPH and introduce a 20MPH zone on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-

ASHDOWN CLOSE, ASTOR PARK, BEAVERBROOK MEWS, BOWER CLOSE, BOWER MOUNT ROAD, BOWER STREET, CORNWALLIS ROAD, DEERHURST GARDENS, OAKWOOD COURT, OAKWOOD ROAD, PEMBURY GARDENS, PENNY CRESS GARDENS, WARWICK PLACE and WHITCHURCH CLOSE – For their entire length.

(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025

(AMENDMENT No.11) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to introduce a 30MPH on the following length of roads in East Farleigh, Maidstone:-

WORKHOUSE LANE – For its entire length. STOCKETT LANE – From a point 25 metres north of its junction with Workhouse Lane in a southerly direction to join up with the existing 30MPH speed limit.
