NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Adlington Road, Wilmslow
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Adlington Road, Wilmslow
– From the junction with Macclesfield Road to the junction with Chapel Road.
The alternative route will be via Hough Lane, Hough Lane Roundabout, Prestbury Road, Thorngrove Roundabout, Birrell Way, Bollin Valley Roundabout, Maclean Way, Dean Row Roundabout, Dean Row Link, Dean Row Road Roundabout, Dean Row Road, Adlington Road Roundabout, Adlington Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 7th September 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 16th November 2026.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 7 IN THE PARISH OF KNUTSFORD – Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order 2026
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 7 Knutsford which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7535 7876 and runs in a generally east-southeast direction for approx. 202m. to OSGR SJ 7551 7871.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while sediment removal works are carried out on or near the public footpath.
The Order came into force on 1st September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
An alternative route is available on site.
