KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(STATION APPROACH, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Station Approach, Honley at a point outside property no. 5 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 and remain in force until 1 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(INKERMAN WAY, DENBY DALE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Inkerman Way, Denby Dale from a point outside property no. 29 to its termination point. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Friday, 25 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ARKENLEY LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Arkenley Lane, Almondbury from its junction with Almondbury Common to its junction with Millgate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Arkenley Lane, Birks Lane, Dark Lane, St Helen’s Gate, Northgate, Westgate, Sharp Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 21 September 2026 and remain in force until 27 November 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VERNON AVENUE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Vernon Avenue, Huddersfield from its junction with Trinity Street to its junction with Park Drive PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Trinity Street, Park Drive.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 21 September 2026 and remain in force until 25 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(STAFFORD HILL LANE, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Stafford Hill Lane, Kirkheaton from a point outside property no. 20 to a point opposite property no. 20 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Stafford Hill Lane, Lane Side, Albany Road, Dalton Green Lane, Long Lane, Crossley Lane, St Mary’s Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 and remain in force until 29 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MOOR SIDE LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 5) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moor Side Lane, Slaithwaite from a point outside property no. 1 to a point outside property no. 5 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure  will be available via Moor Side Lane, Highfield Road,  Waller Clough Road, Quebec Road, New Hey Road,  Pole Gate.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Thursday,  24 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours  only (although it can remain in force for any period up to  18 months if necessary).

(GLEDHOLT BANK, GLEDHOLT, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Gledholt Bank, Gledholt from a point outside property no. 118 to a point outside property no. 85 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Gledholt Bank, Gledholt Road, Heaton Road, Church Street, Market Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence as follows:-
05:30 hours on Tuesday, 22 September 2026 to 15:00 hours on 25 September 2026
20:30 hours on Monday, 28 September 2026 to 06:00 hours on 29 September 2026
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SHEFFIELD ROAD, HEPWORTH, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following length of road in Hepworth, Holmfirth:-

Road Closure
Sheffield Road (A616) - from its junction with Chapel Bank/South View, Jackson Bridge to its junction with Bedding Edge Road/Wood Royd Hill Lane
Point Closures

The following roads at their junction with Sheffield Road:-

Foster Place Lane, Gate Head Lane
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Sheffield Road, Holmfirth Road, New Mill Road, Station Road, Dunford Road, Penistone Road, Flint Lane, Bents Road, Whams Road, Sheffield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 21 September 2026 and remain in force until 4 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOODBOTTOM ROAD, NETHERTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodbottom Road, Netherton from a point outside property nos. 24/23 Woodbottom Road to its junction with Lea Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Woodbottom Road, Lea Lane, Netherton Fold, Moor Lane, Meltham Road, Huddersfield Road, Crosland
Factory Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 and remain in force until 14 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GYNN LANE, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Gynn Lane, Honley from a point outside property no. 42 to a point outside property no. 46 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Gynn Lane, Hall Ing Lane, Brockholes Lane, New Mill Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 7 September 2026 and remain in force until 8 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MANSE DRIVE, COWLERSLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Manse Drive, Cowlersley from its junction with Cowlersley Lane to a point to the side of property no. 1 Manse Drive PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cowlersley Lane, Warneford Road. It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 8 September 2026 and remain in force until 16 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

HOLLIN HOUSE LANE/BAGDEN LANE, CLAYTON WEST, POOL HILL LANE/DRY HILL LANE, DENBY DALE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF SPEED) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed in excess of 20 mph in that length of Hollin House Lane/Bagden Lane, Clayton West, Pool Hill Lane/Dry Hill Lane, Denby Dale from its junction with Hollin House Lane Point Closure

The following lengths of road at their junctions with Hollin House Lane/Bagden Lane, Clayton West, Pool Hill Lane/Dry Hill Lane, Denby Dale, Huddersfield:- Weatley Hill Lane, Clayton West

It is intended that the restrictions shall commence on Monday, 7 September 2026 and remain in force until 25 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PARK ROAD WEST, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Park Road West, Crosland Moor from a point outside property no. 24 to a point outside property no. 26 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Park Road West, Blackmoorfoot Road, Manchester Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 7 September 2026 and remain in force until 8 September 2026.
