Croydon - Temporary Road Closures & Parking Restrictions Due To Gas Works

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 - Bennetts Avenue & Bennetts Way, Croydon Temporary Restriction Of Traffic
1. CROYDON COUNCIL HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works on behalf of SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic at the junction of Bennetts Avenue and Bennetts Way, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the junction of Bennetts Avenue with Bennetts Way will be closed.

3. During the work the diversion route for traffic will be via: Temple Avenue, Shirley Way, East Way and reversed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 07 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 12 October 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months, to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 Section 14 As Amended - The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 And All Other Enabling Powers - Downs Road & Dunstan Road, Coulsdon Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic & Parking
1. CROYDON COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate drainage works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Downs Road and Dunstan Road, Coulsdon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Downs Road will be closed from a point 10 metres northeast of its junction with Dunstan Road to a point 10 metres southwest of that junction.
b) Dunstan Road will be closed between its junction with Downs Road and a point opposite the northwestern (rear) wall of No. 56 Downs Road.
c) Parking within the above closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking and loading will apply at any time.

3. During the closure the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via: Westwood Road, Fairdene Road, Reddown Road, Downs Road and reversed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 07 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 18 September 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 Section 14 As Amended The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 And All Other Enabling Powers - Beauchamp Road, Burlington Road, Cranbrook Road, Moffat Road, Penrith Road, And Westbrook Road, Thornton Heath - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic & Parking
1. CROYDON COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking on roads below, as detailed.

2. Whilst the said work is taking place, phased closures and restrictions prohibiting parking will apply as detailed below.

 

3. During the works the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.
- Penrith Road & Beauchamp Road closures: Via Moffat Road, Livingstone Road, Mersham Road, Hythe Road, Grange Road, Beulah Hill, and Spa Hill.
- Penrith Road & Cranbrook Road closures: Via Northwood Road, Osborne Road, Beulah Crescent, Burlington Road, Upton Road, Cranbrook Road, and Howberry Road.
- Westbrook & Moffat Road closures: Via Burlington Road, Howberry Road, Moffat Road, Layard Road, and Livingstone Road.
- Burlington & Westbrook Road closures: Via Howberry Road, Northwood Road, Beauchamp Road, and Moffat Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 07 September 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed as detailed above.
