SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Otter Way (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett; from its property known as No.34 Otter Way for a distance of approximately 85m in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out frame and cover repairs works and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 28 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. B) Church Street (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett; from its property known as No.10 Church Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out 55m of duct laying works and other associated works. Alternative route D via C27 (unaffected length) – C68 – UC 868502 and vice versa. Alternative route E via C68 (unaffected length) – C1 – C27 and vice versa. F) Pinchmore Lane (Part), Sherston; from a point approximately 150m north west of its junction with B4040 for a distance of approximately 44m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole street replacement works and other associated works. H) Hollow Lane (Part), Grafton; from its property known as Hollow Lane Cottage for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction to enable Thames Water Utilities to carry out boundary box leaking meter and other associated works. Alternative route via Hollow Lane (unaffected length) – Grafton Road – A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. I) Westmead Lane (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Meadowlands Close for a distance of approximately 99m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out customer service works and other associated works. L) Church Hill (Part), Nettleton; from its junction with C173 for a distance of approximately 177m in a south westerly direction.

M) C173 (Part), Nettleton; from its northern junction with Church Hill to its southern junction with Church Hill to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out sewer lining works and other associated works. Alternative route L via Church Hill (unaffected length) – C173 and vice versa. Alternative route M via C173 (unaffected length) – B4039 – C71 – UC 817802 – UC 827801 – C71 and vice versa. N) Goor Lane (Part), Baydon; from its junction with UC 287801 for a distance of approximately 750m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out installation of chambers, ducting and other associated works. O) Laineys Close (Part), Marlborough; from its property known as No.28 Laineys Close to its property known as No.17 Laineys Close to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out fault locating and other associated works. Alternative route via Laineys Close (unaffected length) – Blowhorn Street – St Martins – Herd Street – Port Hill – North View Place – Chiminage Close and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 16 September 2026. P) Cotmarsh (Part), Broad Town; from its junction with Broad Town Road for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction to enable Thames Water Utilities to carry out chamber exchange work and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 07 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. Q) C83 (Part), Crudwell; from its junction with C76 for a distance of approximately 350m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out service repair works and other associated works. Alternative route via C83 (unaffected length) – C92 – A429 – C76 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. R) C66 (Part), Lea and Cleverton; from its property known as Green View for a distance of approximately 210m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole installation works and other associated works. Alternative route via C66 (unaffected length) – C104 – B4042 – C66 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. S) C189 (Part), Aldbourne; from its junction with C29 for a distance of approximately 490m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage (CCTV investigation survey and associated works. Alternative route via C189 (unaffected length) – C146 – C29 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 01 June 2026 will now recommence on 07 September and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 until 11 September 2026.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.71) 2026 (REF TTRO: 11765)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be up for 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 28 September 2026 and 31 January 2027.

1. Kelston Road, Little Bedwyn; from its junction with C30 for its entire length.

2. Raffin Lane, Pewsey; from its junction with A345 for its entire length.

3. Friday Lane, Charlton St Peter; from its junction with A342 for its entire length.

5. A342 (Part), Devizes, Bishops Cannings, Stert, Etchilhampton and Urchfont; from its junction with Marshall Road to its junction with C248.

6. B4039 (Part), Castle Combe and Grittleton; from a point approximately 67m north of its junction with Whitegates to its junction with C71.

Alternative routes (vice versa)

1. via A342 (unaffected length) – A345 – The Packway – B3086 – A360.

2. Vehicles taller than 14ft: via A342 (unaffected length) – A345 – The Packway – B3086 – A360 – B3098 – Cheverell Road – A360.

3. via B4039 (unaffected length) – A420 – A46 – B4040.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to temporarily introduce a 50mph speed restriction on the following lengths of roads:

A) A350 Northbound Carriageway (Part), Kington Langley and Kington St Michael; from its junction with C153 for a distance of approximately 1140m in a northerly direction.

B) A350 Southbound Carriageway (Part), Kington Langley and Kington St Michael; from its junction with B4122 for a distance of approximately 1140m in a southerly direction to enable Thornsbury Surfacing to carry out S278 works.

The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restrictions will come into operation on 28 September 2026 and will be required until 13 November 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

Phase 1: C121 (Part), Broad Hinton; from its junction with A4361 for a distance of approximately 500m in an easterly direction.

Phase 2: C121 (Part), Broad Hinton; from its junction with the right of way known as Byway 18, Broad Hinton for a distance of approximately 480m in a south westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out overhead cabling works and other associated works.

Alternative route via C121 (unaffected length) – A4361 – C121 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. The phases will be implemented sequentially. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Wiltshire Council Parish of Chilton Foliat Path 6 Diversion Order and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the terms of Article 1 in the above order have been satisfied and that both Articles 1 and 2 have come into force. The new highway was certified as being in a fit condition for use by the public on 7 August 2026.

Notice is hereby given that on 26 August 2026 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: Orders 1, 2 and 3 – To revoke and re-enact the following Orders:

Under Order 1 – The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads (West Cepen Way), Chippenham and Chippenham Without) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2016;

Under Order 2 – The County of Wiltshire (A4 Bath Road and UC 897202, Chippenham and Corsham) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2012;

Under Order 3 – The County of Wiltshire (B4643, Melksham Road and B4528, Showell, Chippenham and Lacock) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2022.

And to introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road:

A350 West Cepen Way (North and Southbound) – from a point 30 metres north of Brook Roundabout to a point 37 metres north of Bumpers Farm Roundabout;

A420 Bristol Road – from its junction with Bumpers Farm Roundabout to a point 160 metres north west of that junction;

Stainers Way – from its junction with Brook Roundabout to a point 30 metres south west of that junction;

A350 West Cepen Way (Northbound and Southbound) – from a point 120 metres north of Cepen Park South Roundabout to a point 120 metres south of Chequers Roundabout;

Sandown Drive – From its junction with Cepen Park South Roundabout to a point 30 metres south of that junction;

A4 Bath Road – From its junction with Chequers Roundabout to a point 35 metres west of that junction.

Order 4 – To introduce a 60mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road:

A350 (northbound and southbound) – from a point 30 metres north of Brook Roundabout to a point 19 metres south west of its junction with the A350 Badgers Roundabout;

A350 (northbound and southbound) – from a point 160 metres south east of its junction with Bumpers Farm Roundabout to a point 120 metres north of its junction with Cepen Park South Roundabout;

A350 (northbound and southbound) – from a point 120 metres south of Chequers Roundabout up to and including Lackham Roundabout;

B4528 Showell – from the A350 Lackham Roundabout to a point 20 metres north of that junction.

A copy of the Orders and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Orders will come into operation on 7 September 2026.
