(WELLINGTON STREET, LEICESTER) (ONE-WAY) (MOVING CONSOLIDATION 2025 AMENDMENT NO.###) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026 (TMP2017)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Leicester City Council ("the Council") proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 5, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and being satisfied that, for the reasons specified in Section 3(2)(a), (b), (d), and (e) of the Act, it is requisite that subsection (1) of Section 3 of the Act should not apply to this Order, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to makes the following Order:-
The effects of the Order set out in Schedule 1 to this Notice, will be to introduce a new One-Way street with an exemption for Pedal Cycles on part of the following length of road.

The effects of the Order will be: -
• To introduce new One-ways Street Restrictions on Wellington Street (from Dover Street to Chatham Street (North-west bound).
A COPY of the proposed Order, the relevant plan, the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and extract copies of the Order being amended may be seen at Leicester City Council's website: https:// leicester.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders or: https://leicester. traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation
OBJECTIONS to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and specify the grounds on which they are made to Traffic Orders Team, Leicester City Council, City Hall, Charles Street, Leicester LE1 1FZ or email TROteam@ leicester.gov.uk and mark for the attention of TRO team.
Any objections stating grounds on which they are made and quoting ref. 'TMP2017- Wellington and must be received by the 28th of September 2026.
The proposed introduction of new One-way Street to help with traffic flow and road safety within this area.
