ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1)
U1018 MILFIELD JUNCTION TO
LANTON MILL MILFIELD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U1018 Milfield Junction to Lanton Mill Milfield from its junction with the A697 heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 270 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 24th September 2026 until the 2nd October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th September 2026 until the 25th September 2026 between 09:00 hours until 16:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A697, U1021, U1019, U1020, U1018 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Esh on behalf of Northumbrian Water to allow a CCTV survey to the sewer. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

B6354 ETAL ROAD TWEEDMOUTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6354 Etal Road Tweedmouth from its junction with Northumberland Road heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective on the 26th September 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 26th September 2026 between the hours of 06:00 until 13:00 during this period however the order will be in force until 23:59 hours on the 26th September 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A1167, A698, B6345, B6354 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U110 KNOWEHEAD TWEEDMOUTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U110 Knowe Head from outside the front of number 8 Knowe Head heading in a northerly direction for a length of 65 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 28th September 2026 until the 9th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 28th September 2026 until the 2nd October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:45 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 9th October 2026.

There is no alternative route available for use whilst the TTRO is in force.

CORNHILL-ON-TWEED
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U3 Duddo to Twizel Bridge junction 220 metres north westwards from its junction with A698 Cornhill to Wideopen Plantation junction (heading in a westwards direction for a distance of 90 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 28th September 2026 until the 5th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 28th September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th October 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

U8 CHURCH LANE NORHAM
U43 ST CUTHBERTS SQUARE NORHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

U8 Church Lane from the gable end of number 4 St Cuthberts Square heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 20 metres.

U43 St Cuthberts Square from its junction with the U8 heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 35 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 29th September 2026 until the 31st October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th September 2026 until the 9th October 2026 between the hours of 08:30 until 16:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2026.

There is no diversion route available, however road plates will be on site during times of closure to allow for access for residents when safe to do so, and the plates will be in place outside of hours of closure to maintain access.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U15 Scremerston Main Road To Cockley Burn Culvert from its point with the front of The Old Railway Station heading in a westward direction for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 14th September 2026 until the 15th September 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 14th September 2026 until the 15th September 2026 between the hours of 23:30 – 06:00.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U17 Cheswick Junction To Goswick 7 metres north eastwards from its junction with Goswick Station Cottages heading in a north eastwards direction for a distance of 52 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 15th September 2026 until the 16th September 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 15th September 2026 until the 16th September 2026 between the hours of 23:30 & 06:00.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1341Adderstone Hall to Lucker Road Bamburgh for a distance 40 metres 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 13th September 2026 until the 14th September 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th September 2026 until the 14th September 2026 between the hours of 23:00 until 06:00 during this period.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B1341, A1, C65, C63 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
