ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(STATION ROAD, GRETTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Station Road, Gretton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Station Road, Gretton – 20 metres either side of level crossing.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during vegetation clearance and track maintenance.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 19th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to 1 night.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: use Mill Road, B672, Seaton Road and Gretton Road.

(OUNDLE ROAD (A427), UPPER BENEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Oundle Road (A427), Upper Benefield as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Oundle Road (A427), Upper Benefield from the junction with Glapthorn Road to the junction with Brigstock Road, Lower Benefield.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during sewer connection works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 21st September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

(HIGH STREET, RUSHDEN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of High Street, Rushden as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of High Street, Rushden from Church Street to Skinners Hill.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during new gas mains laying.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 7th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to 5 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: use A5028, A6, A5001 and A5028.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Stamford Road, Thorpe Malsor/Rothwell/Rushton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Stamford Road, Thorpe Malsor/Rothwell/Rushton from Rockingham Road roundabout to Stamford Road roundabout.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during Parish enhancement works – drainage cleansing, litter picking and pothole repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 7th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
