THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(ROAD FROM BURROW CORNER TO CHESTNUT CRESCENT, STOKE CANON) ORDER 2026
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 5/9/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 6/9/26. Between the hours of 23:45 & 08:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: ROAD FROM BURROW CORNER TO CHESTNUT CRESCENT, STOKE CANON 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - GREEN LANE-A396 - CHESTNUT CRESCENT & VICE VERSA. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: CROSSING SURFACE TO BE REMOVED SO THAT THE ROAD CAN BE TREATED UNDERNEATH.

Roads affected: WELCOME STREET, EXETER, JUNCTION OF WILLEYS AVENUE TO OUTSIDE 11 WELCOME STREET THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: WATER WORKS.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 7/9/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 23/10/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in a direction on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: CHURCH ROAD, ALPHINGTON, EXETER, (FROM ALPHINGTON ROAD TO JUNCTION WITH POWLESLAND ROAD /ALPHINBROOK ROAD.) 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via -CLOCKWISE - CHURCH ROAD, ALPHINGTON ROAD, IDE VILLAGE ROAD, ALPHINGTON ROAD, COWICK LANE, MARSH GREEN ROAD WEST, TRUSHAM ROAD, ALPHINGBROOK ROAD.. AND NO PERSON SHALL CAUSE OR PERMIT ANY VEHICLE TO PARK OR WAIT ON THE SECTIONS OF AFFECTED ROADS. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: GAS WORKS.
