What is happening?

REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
WEST DYKE ROAD, REDCAR (ACTIVE TRAVEL) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2026

Not less than 7 days herefrom the Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended because works are being or are proposed to be executed near the length of footway and road specified in the Schedule below.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along the footways and roads specified in the Schedule below and to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the aforementioned schedule.

The Order will come into operation on 14.9.26 and remain in operation for a maximum period of 18 months.

Closures will only be implemented as required to facilitate the various phases of the works and will not be in place continuously throughout the entire period. Advance warning signs will be installed two weeks prior to any closure, and notification letters will be issued to affected residents and businesses.

Corporation Road adj No1 Corporation Rd – Junction Sandringham Rd; West Dyke Road, Adj the Winning Post – Junc Corporation Road Back Street Rear of Westfield Avenue; Corporation Road adj No.1 Corporation Rd – Junction Sandringham Rd; Thrush Road, Adj Morrisons petrol station; Racecourse Footpath – full length; Corporation Road Back Street from junc with West Dyke Rd to rear of 1 Westfield Ave; Easson Road Back Street adj 66 West Dyke Road; Orchard Road, adj 72 West Dyke Road; Westfield Ave, adj 56 West Dyke Road; Sandringham Road, from 107 - 123 inc path from Hall to station.
