Swale, Waiting Restrictions & Street Parking Notices

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF SWALE)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make an Order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the named Order is:-

a) to extend the existing double yellow lines on both sides of Royal Road, Sheerness, north to the start of the block paved surfacing of Beachfields Car Park

b) to install double yellow lines on both sides of Clarence Row, Sheerness, from the junction with Royal Road to a point approximately in line with the rear boundary of 11 and 13 Delamark Road, and across the carriageway to connect the ends of the new double yellow lines

A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on the consultation page of our website at www.swale.gov.uk, or at Swale House Council Offices, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 3HT during office hours by appointment booked through Engineers@swale.gov.uk.

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order (your objection must explain the impact on traffic in the locality to be valid) can be sent in writing to Engineers@swale.gov.uk or by post to the Engineering Team, Leisure & Technical Services, Council Offices, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3HT by 12 noon on Friday 9th October 2026.
