TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
MILL ROAD, SHARNBROOK 26 – 100
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mill Road, Sharnbrook approx.10m west of entrance to no 45 the Milestones and approx. 20m east of junction Lower Furlong.
This temporary road closure is required to replace two decayed telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling. Rolling Closure and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 16:00 hours 20th September 2026
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Templars Way, Rushden Road, C26 Bletsoe From A6 Rushden Road Sharnbrook To Uc33 Mill Road Thurleigh, Mill Road.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mill Road, Sharnbrook.
This temporary road closure is required to multiple carriageway patching and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:15 to 15:00 hours from 14th September 2026 to 18th September 2026
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Templars Way, Rushden Road, C26 Bletsoe From A6 Rushden Road Sharnbrook To Uc33 Mill Road Thurleigh, Mill Road.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Felmersham Road, Carlton OS Farm Cottage.
This temporary road closure is required to provide a safe working area for engineers to access telegraph poles in order to provide fibre overhead cabling and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours from 12th September 2026 to 12th September 2026

This temporary road closure is required for a CCTV drainage survey and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 06:00 hours from 20th September 2026 to 24th September 2026
