Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

B2079 North Road, Goudhurst, TN17 1JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water utility repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 North Road, Goudhurst, on or after 9th September 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Trowswell Hill House, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2079 North Road, B2084 Chequers Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, A262 Church Road, A262 High Street, B2079 North Road and vice versa.



B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow frame and cover reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 3 Gaffords Bridge Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Brenchley Road, Horsmonden Road, High Street, Brenchley Road, Chestnut Lane, Crittenden Road, A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Whetsted Road, A228 Branbridges Road, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Maidstone Road and vice versa.



Camden Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow anti skid remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Camden Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 8th September 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 74, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Camden Road, Victoria Road, Goods Station Road, Grosvenor Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, Grosvenor Bridge, Quarry Road, Camden Road.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Camden Road, Quarry Road, Grosvenor Bridge, Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Good Station Road, Victoria Road, Camden Road.



Chilston Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chilston Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property numbers 1 and 7. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chilston Road, Queens Road, A26 St Johns Road, Woodbury Park Road and vice versa.



Drone Light Show, A264 Pembury Road, Bayhall Road & Halls Hole Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (NO WAITING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow a drone light show event to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose no waiting & prohibit parking on parts of A264 Pembury Road, Bayhall Road & Halls Hole Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 25th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the event been completed as detailed below:

No waiting and prohibition of parking will be imposed, between the hours of 12:00 on 25th September 2026 and 23:59 hours on 26th September 2026 only, as detailed below:

A264 Pembury Road - from Calverley Park Gardens to the junction with Sandhurst Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Bayhall Road - from Rookley Close to the pedestrian entrance to the park opposite Beech Manor on both sides of the carriageway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Halls Hole Road - from Bayhall Road to Dunorlan Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.



Furnace Lane, Horsmonden, TN12 7BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Furnace Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 10th September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Maryamma. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Furnace Lane, Yew Tree Green Road, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Furnace Lane and vice versa.



Grandshore Lane, Frittenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grandshore Lane, Frittenden, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Grandshore Oaks. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grandshore Lane, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Camden Hill, London Lane, Frittenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Grandshore Lane and vice versa.



Jarvis Lane, Goudhurst, TN17 2NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Jarvis Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 25 metres North of Lock and Key Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Jarvis Lane, Ladham Road, B2084 Chequers Road and vice versa.



Kingswood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells TN2 3QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kingswood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 22nd September 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Rosset Holt. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A228 Pembury Road, Bayhall Road, Kingswood Road and vice versa.



Pearsons Green Road, Brenchley, TN12 7DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pearsons Green Road, Brenchley, on or after 22nd September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Little Knowle to the junction with Crook Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pearsons Green Road, Knowle Road, Crook Road and vice versa.



Romford Road, Pembury, TN2 4JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow heavy jet and CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romford Road, Pembury, on or after 10th September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Heskett Park to the junction with Woodside Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Henwood Green Road, Woodside Road and vice versa.



Sandhurst Road, Clifton Road & Oak Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and parking on parts of Sandhurst Road, Clifton Road & Oak Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 92 days or until the works have been completed.

Sandhurst Road will be closed and parking prohibited from the junction with North Farm Road to the junction with Oak Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:

Diversion 1 - Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Goods Station Road, Victoria Road, Garden Road, Lansdowne Road, Sandrock Road, A264 Pembury Road.

Diversion 2 - A264 Pembury Road, Sandrock Road, Lansdowne Road, Gardens Road, Victoria Road, Goods Station Road, Grosvenor Road, Upper Grosvenor Road.

Clifton Road will be closed and parking prohibited from at the junction with Sandhurst Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brook Road, Oak Road and vice versa.

Oak Road will be closed and parking prohibited at the junction with Sandhurst Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Road, Clifton Road, Brook Road and vice versa.



Stockland Green Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0TU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockland Green Road, Speldhurst, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Pax Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockland Green Road, Etherington Hill, Stockland Green Road and vice versa.
