Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
A26 Quarry Hill Road (Northbound), Tonbridge, TN4 0UQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A26 Quarry Hill Road (Northbound), Tonbridge, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the entrance to the A21 Westbound and Baltic Road, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A21 Quarry Hill Slip Northbound On, A21 Tonbridge Bypass, A21 Weald Slip Northbound Off, A21 Weald Interchange, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, B245 London Road, A227 High Street, B2260 Railway Approach, A26 Quarry Hill Road.
A2014 Vauxhall Lane, Tonbridge, TN11 0NQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow structure half joint inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A2014 Vauxhall Lane, Tonbridge, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Vauxhall Roundabout to the entrance of the A21 Westbound, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2014 Pembury Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road.
Baltic Road, Tonbridge, TN9 2JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Baltic Road, Tonbridge, on or after 8th September 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 69A. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Drive, A2014 Pembury Road, Deakin Leas and vice versa.
Church Road, West Peckham, ME18 5JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gully cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, West Peckham, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the Village Hall, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Ryarsh Road, Birling, ME19 5JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ryarsh Road, Birling, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between The Courtyard and Masters Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ryarsh Road, Bull Road, Birling Road, A228 Leybourne By Pass, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Roughetts Road, The Street, Birling Road and vice versa.
Welland Road, Tonbridge, TN10 3BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and parking on part of Welland Road, Tonbridge, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed and parking prohibited from the junction with Uridge Crescent to the boundary line of property number 1 Welland Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Welland Road, Longmead Way, Darenth Avenue, A227 Shipbourne Road and vice versa.
