PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 96 NEWCASTLE TOWN TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 27/2/25, made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the full length of Public Footpath No. 96 Newcastle Town from its junction with Acacia Avenue (Point A on the associated plan) for approximately 229 metres in a generally north easterly direction to its junction with High Street (Point B on the associated plan).
The closure is required due to Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to housing development works.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 3/3/25 and has been extended for a further period of twelve months, until 2/9/27 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.
