fod Cyngor Gwynedd yn bwriadu dim llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad y rhybudd hwn wneud Gorchymyn fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darn hwnnw o Maengwyn Street (A493), Tywyn o bwynt ger ei gyffodd gyda Brook Street gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol hyd at bwynt ger Corbett Square (A493), Tywyn.                      

Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar sail iechyd a diogelwch i’r cyhoedd yn ystod gwaith adfer wal beryglus.  

Y ffordd arall yw teithio mewn cyfeiriad deheuol ar Brook Street yna mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol ar Frankwell Street. Yn y gyffordd gyda Ffordd Cadfan, troi i’r dde i deithio mewn cyfeiriad gogledd orllewinol a throi i’r chwith yn y gyffordd gyda National Street i barhau mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol. Yn y gyffordd gyda College Green, troi i’r dde i deithio mewn cyfeirid gogledd ddwyreiniol hyd at y caead. Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.  

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar yr 22ain o Fedi 2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod na fydd hwy na deunaw mis neu hyd nes y cwblheir y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud ar y ffordd, pa un bynnag fyddo gyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd disgwylir y gellir cwblhau’r gwaith o fewn tua pum mis.

SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991  
THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(MAENGWYN STREET (A493), TYWYN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Gwynedd Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Maengwyn Street (A493), Tywyn from a point by its junction with Brook Street travelling westerly up to a point by Corbett Square (A493).  

The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during works to repair a dangerous wall.  

The alternative route is to travel southerly on Brook Street then westerly on Frankwell Street. At the junction with Ffordd Cadfan, turn right to travel north westerly then turn left at the junction with National Street to continue in a westerly direction. At the junction with College Green, turn right to travel north easterly up to the closure. Access will be maintained for residents.  

The Order comes into effect on the 22nd of September, 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 5 months.
