What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
Buckland Road & Cutter Ridge Road, Luddesdown, DA13 0XF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of existing telegraph poles and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckland Road and Cutter Ridge Road, Luddesdown, on or after 10th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Buckland Road will be closed adjacent to Monks Vineyard and Cutter Ridge Road will be closed outside Cutteridge Cottage.
Only one closure will be in place at a time.
The alternative route is via Buckland Road, Wrangling Lane, Lockyers Hill, Leywood Road, Strawberry Hill, Dean Road, Luddesdown Road, Cutter Ridge Road and vice versa.
College Road, Northfleet, DA11 9DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of MBNL works on B2175 Stonebridge Road, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Road, Northfleet, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 5 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with B2175 Stonebridge Road.
The alternative route is via B2175 Stonebridge Road, Grove Road, College Road and vice versa.
Cross Lane East, Gravesend, DA12 5AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a water frame and cover replacement, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cross Lane East, Gravesend, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 2A and 10.
The alternative route is via Singlewell Road, B261 Old Road East, Cross Lane East and vice versa.
Granby Road, Northfleet, DA11 9AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Granby Road, Northfleet, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 40 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between The Shore and Crete Hall Road.
There is no alternative route but access will be maintained when safe to do so.
Hermitage Road, Higham, ME3 7NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hermitage Road, Higham, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Stables Cottage.
The alternative route is via Hermitage Road, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, A289 Wainscott Northern Bypass, A289 Hasted Road, Lower Rochester Road and vice versa.
Nelson Road, Northfleet, DA11 7BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nelson Road, Northfleet, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 85.
The alternative route is via Nelson Road, Seymour Road, Bedford Road and vice versa.
Shorne Ifield Road, Shorne, DA12 3HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shorne Ifield Road, Shorne, on or after 9th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ifield Farm.
The alternative route is via Shorne Ifield Road, Thong Lane, A226 Rochester Road/Gravesend Road, Forge Lane, Crown Lane, Mill Hill Lane and vice versa.
Windsor Road, Gravesend, DA11 7RN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Windsor Road, Gravesend, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 39 and 41.
The alternative route is via Windsor Road, Singlewell Road and vice versa.
