Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

B2011 Folkestone Road, Church Hougham & Dover (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2011 Folkestone Road, Church Hougham & Dover, on or after 22nd September 2026 for up to 35 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Plough Lane to outside Farthingloe Farm, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via B2011 Folkestone Road, A256 York Street, A20 Snargate Street, A20 Limekiln Street, A20 Archcliffe Road, A20 Trunk Road and A20 Hougham Slip Westbound Off.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 Hougham Slip Eastbound On, A20 Trunk Road, A20 Archcliffe Road, A20 Limekiln Street, A20 Snargate Street, A256 York Street and B2011 Folkestone Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 8th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beacon Lane, Drainless Road, Foxborough Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Cauldham Close, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cauldham Close, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 34, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Cherry Garden Lane, Ash, CT3 2BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cherry Garden Lane, Ash, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of New Street and Sandwich Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cherry Garden Lane, New Street, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Cherry Lane, Great Mongeham, CT14 0HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cherry Lane, Great Mongeham, on or after 9th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 1 Thorndale Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cherry Lane, Northbourne Road, Mongeham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Crockshard Hill, Wingham, CT3 1NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crockshard Hill, Wingham, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Crockshard Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crockshard Lane, B2046 Adisham Road, B2046 High Street, Staple Road, Goodnestone Road and vice versa.

Durlock Road, Ash & Staple (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Durlock Road, Ash & Staple, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Glyndale to outside Thatch Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Durlock Road, School Lane, The Street, Staple Road, B2046 High Street, A257 High Street, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Pedding Hill, Pedding Hill, Guilton and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Green Lane, Dover, CT16 2AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Dover, on or after 27th September 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Winant Way, Roosevelt Road, Old Park Hill, Brookfield Avenue and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Lower Goldstone, Ash, CT3 2DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Goldstone, Ash, on or after 22nd September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Beeches, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Mill Road, Wingham, CT3 1NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Road, Wingham, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Wingham Well Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wingham Well Lane, A257 Canterbury Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



New Street, Sandwich, CT13 9JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Street, Sandwich, on or after 27th September 2026 for up to 12 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Ash Road, Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street and New Street.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road and Dover Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Richborough Road, Richborough, CT13 9JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow infrastructure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Richborough Road, Richborough, on or after 27th September 2026 for up to 12 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Richborough Road, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A257 Ash Bypass, Cop Street, Cop Street Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Ringwould Road, Ripple (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ringwould Road, Ripple, on or after 27th September 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ringwould Road, Sutton Lane, Front Street, Back Street, A258 Dover Road, A258 Deal Road, Station Road, Lucerne Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Station Road, Walmer, CT14 9JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Walmer, on or after 27th September 2026 for up to 12 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sydney Road, St Richards Road, Salisbury Road, Court Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, CT14 0FZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Fairview, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Deal Road, Northbourne Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield Bypass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield Bypass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, Boys Hill, Willow Woods Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, CT14 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Willow Woods Road, Northbourne Lane, C231 Un-named Road From Willow Woods Road To Junction Of Northbourne Lane And Mill Lane, Mill Lane, Deal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Various Roads, Deal (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Deal, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

West Street will be closed between the junctions of Western Road and Stanhope Road.

The one-way Order for Duke Street will be suspended between the junctions of West Street and High Street.

The one-way Order for Union Road will be suspended between the junctions of West Street and High Street.

The one-way Order for Century Walk will be suspended between the junctions of St Andrews Road and West Street.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Western Road, Albert Road, A258 London Road, West Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Various Roads, Deal (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Deal, on or after 21st September 2026 until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Middle Street will be closed as a rolling closure from 21st September 2026, with estimated completion by 24th December 2026.
The road will be closed between the junctions of King Street and North Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Middle Street, North Street, Beach Street, King Street and vice versa.

King Street will be closed from 21st September 2026, with estimated completion by 12th October 2026.
The road will be closed at the junction of Middle Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beach Street, King Street, Middle Street and vice versa.

Market Street will be closed from 21st September 2026, with estimated completion by 12th October 2026.
The road will be closed at the junction of Middle Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beach Street, King Street, Middle Street and vice versa.

Chapel Street will be closed from 12th October 2026, with estimated completion by 26th October 2026.
The road will be closed at the junction of Middle Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beach Street, King Street, Middle Street and vice versa.

Oak Street will be closed from 12th October 2026, with estimated completion by 26th October 2026.
The road will be closed at the junction of Middle Street.

Brewer Street will be closed from 26th October 2026, with estimated completion by 9th November 2026.
The road will be closed at the junction of Middle Street.

Coppin Street will be closed from 26th October 2026, with estimated completion by 9th November 2026.
The road will be closed at the junction of Middle Street.

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Dover, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

Castle Street will be closed outside Burnham House Veterinary Surgery. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length.

The one-way Order for Market Square will be suspended the entire length.

The one-way Order for Cannon Street will be suspended the entire length.

The one-way Order for Biggin Street will be suspended between the junctions of Cannon Street and Pencester Road.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 Castle Hill Road, Connaught Road, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Cannon Street, Market Square and vice versa.
