What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD AREA
Brentlands Drive & Princes View, Dartford, DA1 1RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of gas main replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Brentlands Drive and Princes View, Dartford.
The roads will be closed for their entire lengths.
Brentlands Drive is planned from 7th September 2026, with estimated completion by 5th October 2026.
Princes View is planned from 21st September 2026, with estimated completion by 12th October 2026.
There are no alternative routes but access will be maintained when safe to do so.
Hook Green Road, Southfleet, DA13 9NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hook Green Road, Southfleet, on or after 21st September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 17, Axtane.
The alternative route is via Hook Green Road, B255 Highcross Road, B262 Betsham Road/Station Road, Dale Road and vice versa.
