MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC152176157: The City of Manchester (Withington Road, Chorlton Park Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Withington Road One Way from its junction with Mauldeth Road West in a northern direction (permitted direction of travel). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Withington Road, Wilbraham Road, Alexandra Road South, Mauldeth Road West. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate open cut excavation required to reset frame and cover in the carriageway. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 18th September 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 13:30. The Order shall come into operation on the 18th September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
