Church Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Openreach Fibre Cabling Works

BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(Church Road, Little Sandhurst, Sandhurst) - (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) - Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding in any direction along:
a) Church Road, Little Sandhurst, Sandhurst between Ambarrow Crescent and Cheviot Road.

The alternative route for this closure is A321 Wokingham Road, B3348 Dukes Ride, Sandhurst Road, Crowthorne Road, Longdown Road and this route reversed.

The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Openreach access telegraph poles to provide fibre overhead cabling.

The proposed Order will come into operation on the 25th September 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the carriageway closure will be in place until 25th September at 15:30.

This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
