Basingstoke & Deane - Temporary Road Closures due to EHV Cable Installation Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - READING ROAD & RAMPTONS LANE, MORTIMER WEST END, BASINGSTOKE & DEANE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
1. Reading Road between its junction with Silver Lane and its junction with Camp Road. (14/10-23/10)
2. Ramptons Lane between its junction with Chapel Lane and its junction with Reading Road. (19/10-27/11)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
1. Reading Road, Burghfield Road, A340 Aldermaston Road, A340 Baughurst Road, A340 Paices Hill, A340 The Street, A340 Station Road, A340 Basingstoke Road, A4 Bath Road, A4 Bath Road & M4 Junction 12 Roundabout, A4 Bath Road, Burghfield Road, Reading Road, The Hatch, Hermits Hill.
2. Welshmans Road, Baughurst Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 14th September 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 11 weeks and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).
