THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL
(A806 INITIATIVE ROAD, KIRKINTILLOCH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On 1 September 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties or land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on that section of the A806 Initiative Road, Kirkintilloch between its junction with the B8048 Waterside Road and Parliament Road, Kirkintilloch at the existing roundabout and its junction with McGavigans Road, Kirkintilloch at the existing roundabout by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 13 September 2026 until 23.59 hours on Sunday, 20 September 2026.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of Parliament Road, Townhead, the B757 Lenzie Road, Kirkintilloch, Gallowhill Road, Boghead Road, the B819 Crosshill Road, the B757 Auchinloch Road and the B819 Lindsaybeg Road, Lenzie, and these routes will be sign posted.

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

On 1 September 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle to wait at any time, by reason of public safety and convenience, on either side of that length of Chapel Street, Lennoxtown from its junction with the A891 Main Street, Lennoxtown northwards for a distance of 28 metres or thereby.

This Order will operate from 00.01 hours on Thursday, 3 September 2026 until 18.00 hours on Friday, 27 November 2026.
