Notice is hereby given that Longfield Solar Farm Limited (company number: 11618210) ('the Undertaker') of registered office Alexander House, 1 Mandarin Road, Rainton Business Park, Houghton Le Spring, Sunderland DH4 5RA is seeking to implement a temporary road closure between 14 September 2026 and 15 March 2027 in order to widen sections of the carriageway along Wheelers Hill and Cranham Road and construct the site entrance to Longfield Solar Farm, including improvements to the Cranham Road/Boreham Road junction.Under Article 14 of the Longfield Solar Farm Order 2023, the Undertaker is required to provide at least 7 days' notice of these road closures in a newspaper circulating in the area in which the roads subject to closure are located.To carry out these works safely, there will be planned full road closures which will result in diversions. When and where safe to do so, we will look to reopen the road outside of normal working hours with access under two-way traffic lights.
Access will be maintained for residential residents and emergency service vehicles at all times. There will be no access for pedestrians or cyclists during these works.Alternative routes are available, with temporary road signage in place during each closure.
