THE A21 GLA ROAD (BROMLEY COMMON, LONDON BOROUGH OF
BROMLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF STOPPING) ORDER 2026
1. Transport for London in consulation with the London Borough of Bromley hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.
2. The purpose of the Order is to enable telecom works to take place at A21 Bromley Common in the London Borough of Bromley.
3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from stopping on:
(1) Addison Road from its junction with Bromley Common to the extended common boundary of the vehicle access point to Nos. 93 – 101 Bromley Common;
(2) Chantry Lane from its junction with Bromley Common to the extended north-eastern building line of No. 103 Bromley Common;
(3) Bloomfield Road from its junction with Bromley Common to the extended south-western building line of No. 2 Broomfield Road;
(4)Walpole Road from its junction with Bromley Common to the extended north-western building line of No. 2a Swingfield Court, Walpole Road;
(5) Bromley Common between its junctions with Chantry Lane and Walpole Road.
The Order will be effective at certain times from 14th September 2026 and 20th September 2026 every night 8.00 PM until 5.00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
