Sterling Way - Parking Bay Changes, EV Charging Bay & Double Red Line Restrictions

Public Notice - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - The GLA Roads and GLA Side Roads (Enfield) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2008 A406 GLA Road (Sterling Way) (Electric Vehicle Charging Points) Variation Order 2026

1. Transport For London hereby gives notice that on 26th August 2026 it made the above-named Order, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 5th September 2026.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:
(1) reduce the length of the Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay outside Nos.18 to 32 Sterling Way by 14 metres from its eastern end and 6 metres from its western end. Parking Mon - Sat 8:00am – 7:00pm 1 hour No return within 2 hours.
(2) introduce an electric vehicle charging bay, 6 metres in length, outside Nos.30 to 32 Sterling Way. No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only Max 1 hour no return within 2 hours;
(3) introduce 6 metres of Double Red Lines, No Stopping At Any Time, outside Nos.30 to 32 Sterling Way.

3. The road which would be affected by the Order is A406 Sterling Way.

Please note due to Hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents may be delayed.

5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
