Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Queens Road, Barking) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026

Notice Of Intent

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate desilting works in the carriageway; THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Monday 26 October 2026. The works expected for:
- Desilting works in the carriageway, to take 5 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Friday 30 October 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Queens Road, both sides, from its junction with Gurdwara Way in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Pickering Road.

4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via Gurdwara Way, Longbridge Road roundabout, Fanshawe Avenue, Tanner Street, Church Road and Pickering Road.
