Somerset - Temporary Road Closure for Verge Gabion Works

Somerset Council Parishes of Buckland St. Mary and Otterford Temporary Closure of Farm Lane and Fyfett Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Farm Lane - from the junction with Howstead Road, southwards incorporating Fyfett Lane for a total distance of 555 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out works to supply new gabions to verge on behalf of Somerset Council.

The Order becomes effective on 16th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 21st September 2026 and last until 30th September 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 10 days.
