Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS) (BOROUGH OF MAIDSTONE)

(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the above named Order will be to prohibit all horse drawn vehicles and accompanied horses from entry on the following length of roads in Yalding, Maidstone:-

WHETSTED ROAD (A228) – From its district boundary with Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council to its district boundary with Tunbridge Wells District Council.

This order also intends to prohibit all motor vehicle except from access on the following lengths of roads in Yalding, Maidstone:-

OLD WHETSTED ROAD – From its junction with Whetsted Road to its district boundary with Tunbridge Wells.

SWALE AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF SWALE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER

(AMENDMENT No.8) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Newington, Swale:-

CHURCH LANE – DYL – (1) On both sides from a point 34 metres north of its junction with High Street for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On its east side from the southern boundary of 82 Church Lane for a distance of 55 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On its west side from its junction with Debham road for a distance of 32 metres in a southerly direction. (4) On its west side from its junction with Denham Road for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction. DENHAM ROAD – DYL – (1) On its south side from its junction with Chruch Lane to its junction with Hasted Road. (2) On its north side from its junction with Church Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. (3) On its south side from its junction with Hasted Road for a distance of 17 metres in a westerly direction. HASTED ROAD – DYL - On both sides of is junction with Denham Road for a distance of 5 metres in a southerly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the above named Order will be to prohibit all horse drawn vehicles and associated horses from entry on the following length of roads in East Peckham, Tonbridge and Malling:-

BOYLE WAY (A228) – For its entire length.

WHETSTED ROAD (A228) – From its junction with Boyle Way to its district boundary with Maidstone.

This order also intends to prohibit all motor vehicle except from access on the following lengths of roads in Capel, Tunbridge Wells:-

OLD WHETSTED ROAD – From its junction with Whetsted Road to its district boundary with Maidstone.

(AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the above named Order will be to place a 6ft 6ins width restriction except for access on the following length of road in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells:-

CORNFORD LANE – For its entire length.
