ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC GIBSON LANE SOUTH, MELTON LEVEL CROSSING
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Gibson Lane South, Melton (20 metres either side of the level crossing) commencing 23.30 hours Saturday 19 September 2026 until 08.00 hours Sunday 20 September 2026 to enable essential maintenance works at the level crossing.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time. There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency services.
