Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1075 Foxhall Road, Ipswich
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made an order closing the B1075 Foxhall Road, Ipswich from the junction with Back Hamlet to the junction with Ruskin Road to facilitate a highway improvement project. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
Clockwise - the B1075 Grove Lane, the A1156 St Helens Street, the A1156 St Margarets Street, the A1071 Woodbridge Road, the A1071 Woodbridge Road East, the A1214 Woodbridge Road East, the A1189 heath Road, the B1075 Foxhall Road with no vice versa.
Anti-clockwise - the B1075 Foxhall Road, the A1189 Heath Road, the A1214 Woodbridge Road East, the A1071 Woodbridge Road East, the A1071 Woodbridge Road, the A1156 Argyle Street, the B1075 St Helens Street, the B1075 Grove Lane, the B1075 Foxhall Road with no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/08/2026 - 09/10/2026 from 7:00pm – 6:00am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads:

- A137 Vernon Street, Ipswich
- A1214 London Road, Ipswich
It is intended that these measures will operate from 01/09/2026 - 17/09/2026 from 8:00pm – 5:00am with no weekend working but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
