NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Wood Lane
North, Adlington
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Wood Lane North, Adlington – For the full extent.
No diversion is required.
This order will come into operation on Monday 7th September 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 2nd October 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS – Public Footpath No. 9 Parish of Sutton
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 02/09/2028. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following: That length of Public Footpath No. 9 which commences at O.S. grid reference (OSGR) SJ 9548 7160 and runs in a generally northerly direction for approx. 309m to (OSGR) SJ 9544 7189.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger due to a collapsed well.
An alternative route is available on site.
