Cross Lane Cycle Lane - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (CROSS LANE CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.
The Order will introduce a cycle lane closure on the northbound cycle lane on Cross Lane, north of the junction of Liverpool Street, Salford, M5 4AL. The Order is necessary as part of the construction of apartment buildings on Cross Lane. Scaffolding will be erected on the footway, with pedestrians diverted into the cycle lane.
The order is due to come into operation on Friday 25th September 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Tuesday 25th May 2027.
