NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE ORDER SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS BA10/1, BA10/2, BA20/2 & BA20/3 AND PUBLIC BRIDLEWAYS BA10/4 & BA20/4, BATH ROAD, TUNLEY)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce closures to: Public Bridleway BA10/4 commencing from a junction with Bath Road at ST69225938 and proceeding in a generally NE direction for approx 65lm to ST69685985; the section of Public Bridleway BA20/4 commencing from ST69685985 and proceeding in a generally ENE direction for approx 720m to a junction with Prison Hill at ST70316019; Public Footpath BA10/1 commencing from a junction with Tunley Road at ST69685958 and proceeding in a generally NW direction for approx 191m to a junction with Public Footpath BA20/3 and Public Bridleway BA10/4 at ST69575974; Public Footpath BA10/2 commencing from a junction with Bath Road at ST69535950 and proceeding in a generally NNW direction for approx152m to a junction with Public Footpath BA20/2 and Public Bridleway BA10/4 at ST69445963; Public Footpath BA20/2 commencing from a junction with Prison Lane at ST69356021 and proceeding in a generally S direction for approx 611m to a junction with Public Footpath BA10/2 and Public Bridleway BA10/4 at ST69445963; and Public Footpath BA20/3 commencing from a junction with Public Footpath BA20/2 at ST69415991 and proceeding in a generally SE direction for approx 247m to a junction with Public Footpath BA10/1 and Public Bridleway BA10/4 at ST69575974.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public footpaths: namely the applicant will be replacing a water main.
The Order will come into force on 2 November 2026 and will be effective until 22 February 2027.
