Oldfield Road Northbound And Southbound Cycle Lanes - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (OLDFIELD ROAD NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND CYCLE LANES) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.
The Order will introduce cycle lane closures on Oldfield Road:
• Northbound cycle lane - from opposite Regent Trading Estate to the junction of Hulme Street.
• Southbound cycle lane - at the junction of Regent Trading Estate.
The Order is necessary for the installation of a low voltage cable and ducting across Oldfield Road. The order is due to come into operation on the Monday 28th September 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 11th October 2026.
